Give me liberty or give me...Yahoo Maps?

Today is one of those rare days where collectively as a nation (or 50% of us that are registered voters, and the about 60% of those people who actually vote, and then 55% of those chose to physically walk in to a polling place and cast a ballot vs. the other 45% of those who mailed in their votes weeks ago via absentee ballot) can participate in a pillar of government that has been apart of this nation (minus slaves, women and the majority of minorities) since its inception over 230 years ago.

Since the passage of the 24th amendment, every college student has had the right to vote, yet it seems very little of us exercise that right. Let today be the day that as a collective body, the young American voter stands up and demand to be taken seriously.

I know, I know. We have all heard the ra-ra speeches from all sides of the aisle, but don't you think its time to actually get off your butt and do something?

In this technologically advanced age, the young would be voter has little to no excuses left for not casting a ballot.

Don't want to fight the election day "crowds"? Vote Absentee!

Don't know where to vote? Check out Vote411's Yahoo maps mash-up. Just scroll down to the bottom and type in your address and see where the nearest polling place it.

Also if you're on a campus, the nearest polling place should be as close as the library or cafeteria.
